Porlock humour, tourism and goodwill in Exmoor and West Somerset

Here is a great piece of humour seen at a UK West Country harbour called Porlock Weir in West Somerset.

The writing on the side says "TROTTERS INDEPENDENT TRADING CO - NEW YORK, PARIS, PORLOCK". I loved it!

(The notice attached to the inside of the window gives details of the worthy cause being supported.)

The car with its flat tyre (not the cause) made me smile :-)

Bye for now

Rob

That carriage would be worth a FORTUNE now!

Erm.. as I can't read the notice on the window, this one is lost on me. Or have a larger than usual proportion of of my brain cells been destroyed by last night's tequila consumption?

Don't worry about the cause, just think about the quality of the carriage. After all, it's not every day you get offered to be whisked away in Trotters Three Wheel Robin Reliant.

Made you day or what!

Er, pardon ... Underwhelmed?

What?

Banned from blog?

Oh well ...

That's strange Rob. We have DelBoy's little yellow Robin at Tads Total Care Garage, Clumber Road, Poynton, 01625 859055 'Poynton' is substituted for 'Porlock'.

Do you think there is more than one, that we are suffering from delusions or that it is a magic car that only appears to the psychics amongst us?

It's a mystery beyond my ken Lorenzo, oh observant one :-)

A rather unusual vehicle without the wheel well on the front?
